The Two Station Open Arbor is a low cost "build-your-own" style grinder/polisher. This unit is designed to accept 6" and 8" wheels. 10" wheels can also fit . Each side of the shaft is threaded with 1"-14 right and left thread providing space to accept threaded heads or cones. This is an excellent choice for the person who wants to design a machine based around their own specific needs. The 1" x 23-3/4" shaft is turned, ground, and polished to reduce vibration. An optional 2" riser shim is available with this style of arbor to provide more work room for larger wheels. Pending wheel choices, this unit will grind, carve, buff, or polish work pieces. Please note that this unit does not come with wheels or motor.
