Description: This old number 8 is naturally hard. Some of this material may have a surface absorbent on it. This material is not stabilized. The #8 Turquoise Mine was first found in 1925 and first mined in 1929. This collection of stones features the light blue coloring and some of the reddish brown spider webbing found commonly in this great classic American mine. This parcel has already been trimmed and tested for fractures. Each stone should be able to cut a cabochon between ring size to pendant size. The material is hard and not prone to breaking even without a treatment or backing.
